Call for Contributions

Thank you for considering contributing to our blog. We welcome submissions for three sections, namely “Concepts and Implications”, “Research Digest”, and “News & Events”. As the blog primarily serves time-constrained education practitioners from various disciplines, all posts should be written in clear and accessible language. While we do not require adherence to the academic style, the language should be respectful and inclusive.

Upon publication, author(s) and reviewer(s) will be credited at the beginning of each post, with additional biographical data provided at the end. Post views will be tracked, enabling authors and reviewers to evidence the impact of their scholarship beyond academia.
Authors are encouraged to include multimedia materials such as diagrams, pictures, recordings, and videos and refer to relevant academic literature. In-text citations and reference lists should be formatted according to the APA 7th style. More information about the APA 7th style can be found here (https://libguides.st-andrews.ac.uk/Referencing_styles/APA/7th).

The specific requirements for each section are presented below.
1. Concepts & Implications
• Length: Each post should be no more than 1,000 words (excluding references).
• Structure: There is no required structure to follow, but each post needs to (1) explain the theory/ theoretical concept, (2) delineate its implications for teaching and/or learning, and (3) suggest three to five follow-up texts or multimedia materials in the form of an annotated bibliography. The author may find it useful to refer to the previous posts in the “Concepts & Implications” section.
• The author is encouraged to include a lesson plan or propose practical teaching or learning activities in the entry and refer to relevant academic literature according to the APA 7th style.
• Review: The entries in this section will go undergo open peer review prior to publication. After initial screening by the blog administrator, the entry will be sent out for peer review. Publication is often dependent on the positive recommendation of the reviewer.

2. Research Digest
• Length: Each post should be no more than 500 words (excluding references).

3. News & Events
